MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK – 17 DAYS

Upon your landing at Kathmandu international airport, our representative will welcome you.

After a warm welcome, the staff will escort you to the hotel in a private vehicle.

After checking in the hotel, freshen up from the long travel.

In the evening, the trek guide will call you for the welcome dinner. You will get a short brief about the Manaslu Circuit Trek.

Later, you can enjoy the nightlife of Kathmandu.

We tour UNESCO World Heritage Sites today. These sites highlight Nepal’s cultural and religious heritages.

Our first stop will be Kathmandu Durbar Square and then Swayambhunath Stupa, next is Pashupatinath Temple which is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus all over the world, followed by the Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath which is one of the largest stupas in the world.

Lastly, in the late afternoon, we visit our office for a brief orientation on our trek.

In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast at your hotel. We will start with a fascinating drive to Gorkha.

A fabulous ride along the bank of Trisuli River and small towns takes us to Gorkha. The journey continues towards Arughat.

After 70km of drive, we arrive at Malekhu. Here, we stop to try some local fish and side dishes. Your journey to Dhading Besi continues 35 km off the dirt road.

In the path, you can witness the panoramic views of Manaslu Himal and Ganesh Himal.

The path descends to Ankhu Khola and then to Arughat. Then you arrive at Soti Khola after 8 hours of the scenic drive.

Soti Khola is a great place to enjoy your night (710m).

Overnight in Soti Khola

Today, you begin your hike for Manaslu Circuit. First, we cross a bridge and walk through the Sal forests.

The path continues above the Budhi Gandaki River. Climbing steep terrains to Kyoropani, we descend towards Khursane.

The path leads to the rocky terrains and the tropical waterfalls on a steep cliff. You eventually walk down to Labubesi (885m).

After lunch at this Gurung village, the walk continues to rocky terrain.

The path opens to offer a beautiful view of Budhi Gandaki. Then, you descend to the sandy river and hike in the rounded stones.

After crossing a suspension bridge, we finally arrive at Machha Khola. The walk shouldn’t take us more than 7 hours.

After breakfast at Machha Khola in the early morning, the trek continues.

First, we cross the Machhe Khola and head towards the tiny village of Khorla Bensi. After some walk, we arrive at Tatopani. The trails continue up and down before you climb over a ridge.

Crossing the River on a suspension bridge, the way passes through the harsh terrains. The walk can be challenging in multiple places.

After a short section of the walk in the forest, we arrive at a Guest House over Doban.

Here, we stop at Doban which shows an impressive view of Budhi Gandaki River. Crossing a suspension bridge, the trail continues to Tharo Bharyang.

The path leads to a steep climb before you finally arrive at Jagat village.

Early in the morning, breakfast will be served at the teahouse.

Your walk begins with a steep climb on a ridge to Salleri. Then we descend to Sirdibas before crossing Gandaki River.

We then walk to Gatte Khola through the grassy land slopes. The path continues upstream to a long suspension bridge suited in Philim.

You continue to the North on a level trail to Ekle Bhatti.

You witness an amusing view of Shringi Himal (7,187m).

After crossing the village three times, we reach the village of Deng.

After 6 hours of walk, we crash at Deng.

Overnight in Deng.

You start the trek in the morning after breakfast. The hike takes to a trail from Bhi and to the west of Budhi Gandaki Valley.

The walk on a steep and impressive valley continues to Lana village.
Here, you witness the Mani stones in the village. After four hours of hiking, we reach Gham.

Here, we stop for lunch and rest. Then, we continue towards the Prok village. The trail passes through Gompas and the dense forest.

Crossing the thundering streams on a narrow gorge, we hike upwards. Afterwards, the pleasant walk through the forest takes us to Namrung.

Six hours of total hike brings the journey to the end. The beautiful tea house over Namrung (2,630m) serves a decent meal.

Today, the path follows a trail lined with a long Mani wall near Lho Gaun. The walk to Lho Gaun is easy and short.

Here, we will have some rest and then explore the area. We hike up the hillside right to the Pungen Glacier.

From the road near to Lho Gaun, the glacier is visible. The close-up views of the glacier and a great view of Mount Manaslu amuses us.

Then we walk back to Lho Gaun for the night. The total walk for the day is about 10.5km.

Overnight in Lho Gaun

In the morning, you will enjoy a great view of Ganesh Himal and Siring from Namrung village.

We can also explore the famous Ribung Gompa in the village. After a delicious breakfast, we walk steadily through the forest.

We will initially head towards the glacier.

Following the trial to lateral moraine to the village area, we continue the hike.

Today’s hike is scenic with the villages surrounded by majestic mountains such as Himal Chuli and Ngadi Chuli.

Ganesh Himal appears bigger and closer as we continue the trek. A total of 6 to 7 hours on the walk for about 8.1km brings us to Samagaun (3,530m).

Samagaun is a small village but is spread out. Mostly stone-built houses with the monastery make the area beautiful.

Overnight in Samagaun

We are already at an altitude of 3,500m. Here, the level of oxygen is already low.

So, this is the day for rest and acclimatisation. We can spend the day wandering around the village of Samagaun.

At your discretion, we can go for a half-day or a full-day trek. We hike towards the Manaslu Base Camp at an altitude of 4,750m above sea level.

The trip is about seven hours. Or, we can trek to the glacier across Samagaun or Birendra Tal Lake.

Today, we descend to the Budhi Gandaki River. The path takes us to the north of a bridge right over a side stream.

The trail is easy as we pass the walls with several beautiful mani. You shortly head to the river and cross the forest of juniper and birch.

The path drops through the lush terrains and takes you to a wooden bridge suited over Budhi Gandaki.

The walk to a steep climb takes us to two forks of the river. This trail is rather short and you walk for about four to five hours maximum.

After a short walk, you arrive on a stone arch that offers the view of White Kani. Passing through the Kani, you arrive at Samdo.

There are many beautiful tea houses in Samdo that serve local food.

Overnight in Samdo

Today, you hike for four hours to Dharamsala. It is also called the Larkya Base Camp.

You start your descent to the northern village to cross the Budhi Gandaki River.

The path follows the grassy forest and terrains with Rhododendron and juniper right above the Syacha Khola Valley.

After witnessing the Larkya Glacier, you cross two streams. The path continues to Larkya La Phedi. Climbing the steep terrain, you arrive at a stone guest house located in Dharamsala.

In Nepali, Dharamsala is a religious house that provides help to people in trouble. It’s not a lodge but simply a shelter for travellers.

Since the hike is short, we will have enough time to relax in the afternoon.
You can also explore the place and learn about the locals.

Overnight in Dharmasala

The trek commences early in the morning as you hike to the steep trails of Larkya La. The path is windy and rocky, you should be careful while walking.

The sunrise views at Mount Manaslu, Larke peak and Cheo Himal are spectacular. The journey can be cold, especially if it’s a windy day.

The snowfall will slow the pace of your trek. You walk across the moraines in the Larkya Glaciers offers the remarkable views of Cho Danda.

Below the path, there is a magnificent basin. The trek is longer than the other day. We will walk for a total of 8-9 hours until we finally reach Bimtang.

We hike into the pastures with the mist of dawn looming close by.

Early in the morning, we enjoy breakfast with the Himalayas in the background.

In the morning, the splendid views of Lamjung Himal and Mt.Manaslu accompany us.

The Trek to Tilche will take about six hours. The trek begins with a descent to Sangure Kharka. After crossing a bridge over Dudh Khola, the trail passes a high pasture area.

Descending to the valley situated over Purdin Khola, you hike to a ridge suited at 4150m. Then, you enjoy an excellent view of Mount Manaslu and Annapurna II.

The trek continues over Dudh Khola, making a descent deep into a forest towards the cultivated land of Karche.

Then, you hike to Gho village. If you are already tired, you can stay in a teahouse over Gho.

Or, you can stay at Tilche. If you could make up to Tilije, the stay for the other night will be easier.

Overnight in Tilche

Early in the morning, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast. Walking along the farmlands of Tilje (2,300m), the path leads to the crossing on the East bank of the river.

Then, you descend towards the Marsyangdi Valley. Walking through the scrub forest, you eventually head towards Thonje (1,965m/).

Now, the path continues on the main route of Annapurna Circuit and takes us to Dharapani. We stop at Dharapani for lunch.

Here on, you hop on a jeep to Besishahar. The entire drive is about 3-4 hours long. On the drive you witness the beautiful waterfalls along with the lush landscapes.

As you arrive in Besisahar, you check in a lodge. Besishahar has some fine lodges that serve multi-cuisine dinners.

Overnight in Besishahar

After breakfast in the lodge over Besisahar, you move towards the bus station.

You can drive on a Tourist Bus, Microbus, or a Jeep. On your drive to Kathmandu, you enjoy crisp views of mountains and the hills.

Initially, the path follows the path at the banks of the Marsyangdi River. Then, it moves towards the Trishuli Rivers.

It takes about six to seven hours to get to Kathmandu from Besisahar.

n Kathmandu, you can check-in at the hotel and enjoy some rest. You can your leisure time strolling in the place.

You can also buy some gifts for yourself and your loved ones. Thamel has a great collection of classic arts and crafts.

In the evening, we celebrate the success of your trekking expedition. We together enjoy a farewell dinner.

We talk about the amazing journey we accomplished as a team. After that, you can enjoy the nightlife of Thamel.

This is your last day in this amazing land of Himalayan wonders. In the morning, you can enjoy your last breakfast in Kathmandu.

If the flight is scheduled in the evening, you can explore the area. You can visit the Garden of Dreams- a classic Nepalese garden.

Our staff will drive you to the airport, three hours before the flight time. After waving a final goodbye to each other, our journey ends here. We wish a safe journey towards homeward.
