Tamang Heritage Trek is a Buddhist cultural trekking region in the Langtang National park of Nepal. The trek was designed to build the lifestyle of the local communities and make the exchange in the cultural experiences.
The Tamang trek trail lies in the Rasuwa district of Nepal- to the north of Kathmandu. It lies close to the Tibetan border- of Kerung.
Tamang Heritage Trek offers prodigious cultural exploration in the village of Nepal. The trip is populated by the people of Tibetan origin. Those people were migrated from Kerung, a long time ago.
Here, the people are completely dependent on the trade and agriculture for a livelihood. During the trek, we visit places such as Chilime, Briddim, Timure, and Rasuwagadhi.
The trek in the Tamang Heritage path also includes the hydroelectricity station in Chilime. Another village of Rasuwagadhi was a war place between Tibet and Nepal a long time ago.
Except for cultural diversity, the trek also offers stunning natural beauty. You get to dip yourself in the natural hot spring over the Tatopani village. During the trek, there are multiple beautiful viewpoints. You can also witness the Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Himalaya range, Manaslu range, and Langtang trek.
The viewpoint is located at an altitude of 3165m. The Langtang National park is rich in flora and fauna. You will walk through the sub-tropical vegetation.
Crossing the forest of Rhododendron, Oak, and Pine, we reach the alpine vegetation. In the path, we might encounter a few Himalayan animals such as red panda, Himalayan Thar, yak, etc.
Trek overview:
The journey of the Tamang heritage trek commences from Kathmandu. After the sightseeing trip to this beautiful city of the temple, we head towards the North.

Important Notes
1, Teahouse trekking facility is possible during the Tamang Heritage trekking. Teahouse is a modification of the local house to provide the basic facilities of food and bed for the trekkers. If possible, we will also spend a few nights in a homestay. The trek takes us to the region that was earlier a restricted place. So, the culture in the place is still intact.
2, The best trekking season begins in March and ends in May. Once the monsoon sets on, the slippery trail makes it hard to trek. But with the right kind of gear and a flexible itinerary, the trek is possible. Once the autumn begins (September, October, and November) the sky gets clear and it’s prodigious to trek. Winter trek is also fun if you love walking in the snow. Only the higher altitudes have an unbearable cold. The trek can be accomplished by anyone without the experience of high altitude trek. It is an easy trek but still demands some level of physical fitness. Sound health is compulsory for the trek.
3, The tour price is not included extra night accommodation in Kathmandu in case of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain (due to any reason) other than the scheduled itinerary.
