Arun Valley, the world’s deepest valley is located between the majestic Mount Everest and Mount Makalu. Arun valley trek offers a view of stunning Himalayan scenery.

During the trek, one gets to experience the diversity of natural beauty, landscapes, and culture. Arun Valley region is abundantly rich in different natural vegetation and wildlife.

The trek to Arun Valley provides an alternative approach to the Khumbu region trekking.

Mt. Everest, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Thamserku, and Mt. Amadablam are visible from Arun Valley.

Over 80 species of butterflies and 650 species of birds reside here. It’s also the home to the rare Panda. Flowers like Orchids can be spotted along the faint jungle trail,

Makalu-Arun valley is a sacred place that is blessed with unbelievable natural beauty and customs.

Walking through the picture-perfect Sherpa Village is the major attraction of the trek. The ethnic groups of Sherpa, Limbu, and, Rai inhabit this area.

The trek demands a level of stamina and physical fitness. To completely value the perfection of the region, one needs to be in sound health.

Trekking for 5 to 6 hours every day isn’t easy. Also, there is a chance of being affected by altitude sickness. Trek to Arun Valley is doable in any season. But the experts recommend autumn and spring as a good time.

Trek Overview:

The journey to Arun Valley begins from Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital.

After some sightseeing in the capital, one moves towards the East with a direct flight to Tumlingtar. Some people also drive to Biratnagar and then begin the trek via Hille.

From Tumlingtar, we trek to Chyawabesi, Gothe Bazaar, Dhobane, Phedi and, Gurase. After a week of the trek, we reach Bung. Then, we move forward to Surke la, Gaikharka and Pangum.

From Puiyan, we join the classic Base Camp route. We walk down to Namche Bazaar and then to Lukla.

A flight from Lukla to Kathmandu brings an end to our journey.

Important Notes

1, Operating between March and June, and September to November.

The best month to do the Arun Valley Trek is October and November. During this time, you can witness the clearest skies.

The other best time is March to June when nature is all filled with colourful blooms. It is possible to trek in other months as well. But it will be hard and needs enough preparation.

Winter trek accompanied by the thick month is the most difficult time for the trek. One needs to walk for about 5 to 6 hours each day on a steep path. You will need a very strong physical condition and sound health.

2, The tour price does not include extra night accommodation in Kathmandu in case of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain (due to any reason) other than the scheduled itinerary.
